Some artists come to music seeking recognition, while others simply start because they feel a need to create. Dany Phantom's story is much closer to the second.
With more than nine years in the music world, Dany started around 2016–2017, making songs at home with his friends. Without major studios or sophisticated productions, he experimented and gradually discovered his own way of expressing himself.
It was during that stage that he met Infinity, with whom he would end up sharing much of his artistic journey. Together, they even took part in a talent search with DJ Naydee from New York. The experience did not continue, mainly because of their lack of experience at the time, but for Dany that did not mean abandoning music.
On the contrary, he kept creating.
A passion that began in childhood
His connection with music goes back much further. Among his childhood memories is a music box his mother had, with a couple that turned while a melody played that he remembers as possibly a piece by Beethoven.
Perhaps some details have been lost over the years, but the feeling remains. From a young age, the sound of music captured his attention.
That curiosity ended up becoming a passion he still maintains today.
Among his first works with his friends were songs such as “Desde que te vi” and “Un sueño”, productions much simpler than his current work, but important because they represent the beginning of his journey.
Among the tracks Dany is most proud of are “Muros de Papel” and “Lejos de Mí”. The first addresses a theme related to supporting immigrants in the United States, while the second explores a more romantic and melancholic side.
Both songs were made with Infinity using BandLab, something I personally find interesting because it shows that an artistic career does not always begin with major resources. Often, it simply begins with a desire to create.
Music worth discovering
I have listened to some of Dany Phantom's tracks, and there is something about his sound that particularly caught my attention. It reminds me of certain approaches we can find in styles such as Rookie or Flex Romantic, with that combination of urban music, romantic melody, and a feeling that can lean toward plena.
I do not think Dany has finished defining everything he wants to do musically, and that is precisely part of the appeal. We are talking about an artist who is still developing his sound and discovering how far he can take his music.
And that is always interesting when we talk about independent artists.
But Dany has more than music.
He is charismatic and has a personality that can work very well in entertainment. His experience also includes trying his luck in English-language call center campaigns, but he has never hidden his true passion for entertainment.
He has also explored content creation and reaction videos, something that today can become a very powerful tool for any artist.
It is no longer just about releasing a song. Today, an artist can create content, converse with their audience, react, entertain, and show their personality. And Dany has precisely that side that can help him connect with the audience beyond his songs.
What is next: Welcome to the Future
Dany Phantom knows he still has a long road ahead. His goal is to continue developing his talent and grow gradually as an artist.
His plans include “Welcome to the Future”, an album with which he wants to move away from the conventional and present something different, fresh, and out of the ordinary.
After so many years, perhaps the most interesting thing about Dany is not only looking at what he has already done, but wondering what he can build with everything he has learned.
His story began at home, making music with friends and using the resources he had available.
Today, he continues creating with Infinity, exploring new sounds and seeking new ways to entertain.
And if anything is clear after learning his story, it is that Dany Phantom still has much to tell.
Nine years later, the dream is still alive. And this time, it seems we are only just beginning to hear what he has prepared.
